Cooking lesson and lunch included by Cantina Siciliana
Since 1958, the Cantina Siciliana has been the city's reference point for savouring the typical dishes of Trapani and Sicily, mainly based on the freshest fish, used in recipes according to seasonality, making the most of local raw materials - including numerous slowfood presidia (such as the red garlic of Nubia) - accompanied by the wide selection of Sicilian wines offered by the "Cantina Siciliana" wine shop.
What strikes you here are not only the bright blue, North African-style majolica tiles that for a moment make you think you are in a Medina alley rather than in the Giudecca district, opposite Palazzo Ciambra, but hundreds of traditional Sicilian folklore objects.
Painted sides and cart wheels hung as unusual chandeliers, collections of irons and coffee grinders, colourful seltzer dispensers, waxen children Jesus and Madonnas protected by cases and crystal bells, thousands of bottles that become, in the adjacent wine shop, almost a piece of furniture. A range of disparate objects that will capture your attention.
Cooking class, with lunch included: € 88 per person
