Boat trip, fishing lesson and lunch on board

The Società Cooperativa San Giuseppe [Cooperative Society San Giuseppe] was founded in 1992.
At present, the Cooperative has 34 members and 12 motor fishing boats of various gross tonnage which carry out small-scale fishing using artisanal systems such as nets, pots, longlines, lines and seines at a distance from the coast of three to six miles.
The type of catch varies according to the systems used: lobsters, garfish, bogue, grouper, scorpion fish, bream, amberjack, mendole, cod, bonito, bream, horse mackerel, mullet, squid, octopus, cuttlefish and tuna. The strategy of the San Giuseppe Cooperative promotes Pescaturismo [Fishing tourism] as an innovative action in the small-scale fishing sector, with the intention of identifying an operational path, shared by fishermen and institutional bodies, that aims to enhance the Egadi Islands and marine environmental resources.
Fishing tourism is a proposal of small-scale fishing operators as an activity complementary to professional fishing.

Boat trip with the fisherman (D'Amico Vincenzo 333/1901783):

• embarking from the port of Trapani 5.00 a.m. (Fishing port) for a real fishing experience (during the excursion practical notions on equipment and fishing techniques will be provided)
• lunch on board with typical products - including drinks (water, wine, coffee)
• return at 16:30/17:30 in the port of Trapani.
